Are you an athlete looking for pole vault poles for a short period? ESSX Europe has got you covered with our new short lease program!

We understand the unique needs of athletes who require high-quality pole vault poles for limited durations. While our standard lease programs offer terms of 1 or 3 years, our short lease option is perfect for those who need poles for a brief time, such as a week or a single event. This program is targeted for athletes traveling from outside the EU.

How It Works:

  1. Fill Out the Form: On this page, you’ll find a form to provide us with details about your leasing needs. Submitting this form is not a confirmation of the lease but allows us to assess the feasibility based on your location and transport logistics.
  2. Assessment: We’ll evaluate each short lease request individually, considering the transport complexities involved. Our goal is to leverage our extensive network of clients and athletes to facilitate the transport of poles, thereby minimizing costs.
  3. Base Price: The base price for leasing a pole is €50 per week or event. Please note that this fee excludes transport costs, which will be assessed separately for each lease to find the most efficient solution.
  4. Contract: We will drauft a short lease contract for the user to sign and return to us
  5. Payment: An invoice will be issued to you for the lease and the transport costs.
  6. Shipment: We ship the poles to you  – preferabbly via our network or you can pickup the poles from our location in Sittard – The Netherlands. 
  7. Have fun and concur those heights

Due to the challenges and expenses associated with transporting vaulting poles, each short lease request must be carefully evaluated. By submitting your application, we can determine if we can meet your pole vaulting needs and set up the short lease accordingly.

Short lease FAQ

ESSX Europe will organize the shipping at the beginning of the Lease Term to your premises and at the end of the Lease Term back to our premises. Transport costs will be communicated before the lease and added to the invoice received from us. So the lease is excluding transport costs.

You must return the poles free of athletic tape, markings, stickers, chalk, grip spray, and resin. Intact decoration must be maintained, or fully removed if damaged. If these conditions are not met, an extra service fee of €50 per pole will be charged.

If a pole is damaged or broken, for example due to misuse, mishandling, or poor maintenance, you will be charged a fee based on the pole’s current value as described on this website. Damaged or broken poles must be returned to ESSX Europe at all times. Additionally, the lessee should always comply with the pole vault rules set out in the contract to prevent damage.

Rules for Vaulting Pole Use:

  • A pole-vaulter should always inspect the vaulting poles for any damage before use
  • A pole shall never be left lying on the ground, poles should at any time be stored in a safe pressure resistant tube or stored above ground in order to avoid damage
  • The user should always respect the maximum load of the pole and will never use a pole with an indicated load (in kilogram or pound) lower than the vaulters weight.
  • A pole-vaulter shall never use a pole that shows any signs of damage.
  • The pole vaulter and the lessee shall always prevent poles from hitting the runway, standards or any hard surfaces.
  • A qualified coach must always present when using the poles.

In 99% of all cases a pole is damaged by the athletes spikes or by hitting the standards (or any hard surfaces), so always make sure you protect the uprights and store poles above the ground!

No poles are untaped and cleaned before delivery

You must return the poles free of athletic tape, markings, stickers, chalk, grip spray, and resin. Intact decoration must be maintained, or fully removed if damaged. If these conditions are not met, an extra service fee of €50 per pole will be charged.

At the expiration of the Lease Term, you must return the vaulting poles in good condition and working order, except for ordinary wear and tear. You must return the poles free of athletic tape, markings, stickers, chalk, grip spray, and resin. Intact decoration must be maintained, or fully removed if damaged (if you scratched the decoration f.e. with spikes). The poles must be returned including the pole protector.

 If these conditions are not met, an extra service fee of €50 per pole will be charged. Missing pole protectors will be charged at an additional 25€

Yes, you can purchase insurance from ESSX Europe at a price of 7,5% of the retail value for ESSX Launch Models and 8,5% for ESSX Recoil Advanced Models. See current price list here

ESSX Europe represents that they have the right to lease the equipment and that you will be entitled to possess it without interference, provided you pay the rent on time and fulfill all other obligations under the agreement.

We have the majority of all ESSX pole models available, please note that we cannot fulfill flex specific requests. We are not able to have every flex variant available and we do not have stock for exceptional models in the low and high range in every length. For example, we will not have 185LBS or higher loads on a 4m00 or a 4m60 with a load of 150LBS or less. We only supply poles where the length/grip height and load are responsible in use.

All poles provided by us are in excellent condition and will not be older than 3 years (actual use).Each pole is inspected and documented before use.
